There have been rumours for the past few weeks Celtic were interested in bringing in Michal Karbownik to the club for next season.

The left-back currently plays for Legia Warsaw but could be on the move this summer according to his own agent.

However, it doesn’t look like it will be to Celtic. Michal’s agent does allude to Celtic interest but when asked about the club he replied to meczyki.pl:

“This is not the case. We focus only on the west and south. Celtic? I think there is no topic either. There is interest, but we have other very interesting options to consider.

“Michał will probably go to one of the five best leagues in Europe.”

Celtic currently have three left-backs on their books.

Boli Bolingoli has been left out of the side since January and Jonny Hayes contract is up in the summer. There could be room for a new young left-back to challenge Greg Taylor. It seems unlikely it will be Michal.

Celtic’s new Head scout Gary Penrice has been talking about Celtic’s global appeal this week as he gets set to help shape the future of the Celtic first team. With agents like Michal’s, it’s going to be harder to get the talent in.
