SCOTLAND put the whole country through the wringer on Saturday evening but mu word – what a payoff.
The Scots ran out 3-2 winners in a game that had just about everything. Callum McGregor who’s no stranger to incredible Hampden moments was part of the side who managed to come back not once, but twice against Israel on the night.
After a poor first half and a missed Scotland penalty, whatever Clarke said in the dressing room had the desired effect because Scotland players the best 45 minutes I’ve personally seen in my lifetime.
The goal coming deep into injury time was no more than Scotland deserved.
It’s ecstasy for Scotland but agony for Isreal who had Nir Bitton on the field and Liel Abada on the bench.
A massive performance from the country has put Scotland on the brink once again and we could be returning to another major tournament after our appearance at the Euros.
