Former Celtic winger Aiden McGeady has been trending on Twitter this Saturday night after Sunderland were beaten 2-1 by MK Dons in League One.
McGeady has been exiled from the Sunderland side amid controversy.
The Chronicle reported last year that the player was banished to training with the reserves and then was loaned out to Charlton for the second half of last season. Aiden was also told to find a new club this summer, which he didn’t do.
With Sunderland fans fuming over the result, some want to see the former Celtic man brought back in from the cold.
Get that pathetic wet wipe excuse of a bloke peddled tonight, get McGeady back in this team, get wasters like Dobson in the under-23s and that’ll begin to scratch the surface. Humiliating

Aiden was on Open Goal a few weeks back where he spoke about his time at Celtic and upsetting the applecart at Celtic too when Gordon Strachan was the manager.
He had a tumultuous relationship with the former Celtic boss while at Parkhead. It appears Phil Parkinson has a similar relationship with the Irish midfielder.
