Italian journalist, Antonio Vitiello has claimed that the management at Ac Milan are a fan of Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer but he isn’t their main target.
Vitiello has suggested that the Italian side will have a meeting with the Norwegian youngster’s representatives next week but Fiorentina centre back, Nikola Milenkovic is the ‘main focus’.
This could come as big news, for the Scottish Champions who were reportedly set to receive bid, within the region of £15 million.
Yesterday, Neil Lennon did suggest otherwise though, saying the club had not received any offer and in that case, the fee would be way off the clubs valuation.
The 22-year old has been subject to interest from a several clubs over the years and it was ramped up even further when the hoops were knocked out the Champions League at the second round stage to Hungarian Champions Ferencvaros.
There remains around two weeks left in the transfer window, so there still time for this story to develop.
Hopefully, Neil Lennon can keep ahold of the big defender, who has become a crucial part of his side in the last year or so.
