After it was revealed this afternoon that Celtic striker Albian Ajeti could be facing a two-game ban for supposed simulation in the game against Kilmarnock, fans were left surprised at the decision.

On social media though, several angles have appeared of the contact between Killie keeper Colin Doyle and the Swiss striker, with a couple of interesting angles and one in particular which shows a close-up of the incident.

Some may claim that the penalty is soft but ultimately I do believe it is a penalty with Doyle catching Ajeti’s ankle which sees him go down. You could see that 23-year old was going into the challenge looking for something but there is contact between the two.

Whether you think it is a penalty or not, I am sure there have been incidents, whether that be inside or outside the penalty area that has gone unpunished for this. You would expect if Celtic were to appeal this, it has a chance of being overturned with the footage which has appeared of the challenge.
