ALBIAN AJET will now have to wait another 24 hours to discover his fate after his appeal was delayed this morning by the SFA, RecordSport reports.

A verdict was expected today with a two-match ban on the line for the swiss striker if he was found guilty of diving to win a penalty against Kilmarnock.

When the charge came out, Celtic immediately defender their player and let it be known they would be challenging the decision and not accepting the two-match ban.

You can argue that the penalty is soft but you can’t argue there was meaningful contact, which makes it very hard for the SFA to find the striker guilty – then again, the pictures we’ve all viewed over the past week would lead you to believe a charge would not be incoming in the first place.

Albian is trying to get a run in the team going and if he does get a ban, he will be ruled out of Wednesday’s game against St Mirren as well as the game against St Johnstone on Sunday.

The bhoys have two away games on the bounce and are looking to pick up their third and fourth win in a row. No easy task when you consider the season we’ve had.

Neil Lennon will be hoping he has Albian in the squad for those ties.
