According to reports tonight Albian Ajeti is confident of being fit and ready to go for the first Glasgow Derby of the season after pulling up against Hibernian at the weekend.

The Swiss hitman who has scored five goals in six SPFL games will sit out the next two weeks while he receives treatment for a hamstring injury but SunSport claim the striker is planning on a Glasgow Derby appearance.

Ajeti has had a great start to his Celtic career, his striker’s instincts have perhaps put him as the club’s best finisher. If Albian was to miss out on the Derby, it would be a blow.

Celtic will not have the forward for the Sarajevo tie or the St Johnstone game at the weekend. The club are now looking to get Leigh Griffiths up to speed by arranging bounce games. The Scottish striker has shaken off his own injury but needs to get match sharp.
