Albian Ajeti has finally managed to agree a move away from Celtic ahead of Thursday’s deadline Football Scotland has reported.

It’s claimed the Celtic flop is set to join Sturm Graz on-loan for the season with a £2m option to buy included in the deal.

Albian signed from West Han under Neil Lennon, the player coming in for a significant fee during the lockdown campaign. At first, Albian looked to have knocked back Celtic but after speaking with Lennon he decided to sign for the club.

Ajeti wasn’t the player Celtic thought they had signed. He was lethargic and looked very uncomfortable as a one man band in attack. It didn’t help that the team imploded during the lockdown season to the extent it did.

When Ange Postecoglou came into the club, Albian got some game time while Ange tried to get his squad together. Once he had his players in place, the Swiss striker didn’t see any action.

He’s yet to make a squad this season and now looks set to continue his career elsewhere, at least until the end of the season. These are just reports right now, Football Scotland haven’t out one of their top journalists to the story yet, which could be some indication they’re not confident on the deal just yet.
