CELTIC STRIKER Albian Ajeti will spend some time on the sidelines through injury, but the extent of it is not yet known.

Celtic sent the striker out on loan this summer, with Sturm Graz securing an option to buy the Swiss striker for just £2 million, £3 million short of what Celtic forked out in the summer of 2020.

He’s started three games for the Austrian side but missed Thursday night’s Europa League match away to Feyenoord through injury. The Dutch side wiped the floor, with the match ending in a 6-0 for the home team.

Although Group F looks to be a competitive group, with all four teams level on three points, goal difference takes Sturm Graz to the bottom.

The Celtic Way report that the striker will face a lengthy time out with injury, but the full extent “remains to be seen”.

Hopefully, his injury isn’t too bad, and Albian can get back onto the pitch and encourage the team to take on their option to buy. It will mean Celtic will finally have him off their books for good.
