After we just got around to letting you all know about the special Hampden meeting this morning about the future of Alex McLeish, news has just broken, he will NOT continue as Scotland Boss.

McLeish was in charge of Scotland’s worst ever result in the history of the international team when they fell to Khazakstahn in March.

There was discontent and so many call-offs under the manager something had to give.

Opinion

The SFA met today to discuss the future, and McLeish was not in their plans. This seems like the correct decision and shows up the SFA for their shocking appointment of a footballing dinosaur who before taking the job admitted he knew the only way to compete with Celtic in the 00s was to use EBTs.

Scotland now must get the next appointment right as they look to restore some national pride. We have a solid set of players who can do much better than what they’ve shown so far.

  1. Who cares until we get rid of the current SFA incompétents who employed him in the first place.
