Celtic are close to completing a move for Alexandro Bernabei, with many fans hoping for a Friday evening announcement.
The left-back is in Glasgow, arriving during the day on Thursday. He’s expected to sign a long-term contract, with it thought to be a five-year deal.
He’ll complete his medical over the weekend, before travelling with the squad on their pre-season training camp, with Jota also joining him.
The 21-year-old will sign for £3.75 million. In the deal Celtic negotiated with Lanus included a 10% sell-on fee.

One Slight Concern
Alexandro Bernabei was sent off in his last match for Lanus, head butting an opponent. He’ll subsequently serve a two-match ban, which will be transferred to Scotland with the player.
However, there is a way around this. if Celtic are smart and holds off registering the player until the 1st of July, he will have completed his suspension in Argentina and not miss the start of his Celtic career through suspension.
Unless Celtic sign him today, but before the 1st of July, he’ll only serve a one-match ban in Scotland, with his side playing at 00.30 Celtic Park Time tomorrow morning.
