Former Celtic midfielder and Neil Lennon signing Beram Kayal has moved back to his home country after being let go by Brighton in the summer.

Beram became a free agent when Brighton chose not to extend the 32-year-old’s contract and has been on the lookout for another club since.

His agent Dudu Dahan, who Celtic fans will know very well from his dealings with the Scottish Champions brokered the deal for Beram to return to Israel and continue his career with Bnei Sakhnin.

Dudu posted a snap of himself and Beram at the contract signing.

It has been five years since the midfielder left Celtic for Brighton and ten years since Kayal signed under Neil Lennon during the Irishman’s first stint as manager.

Bnei Sakhnin are currently bottom of the Israeli league with four games on the board and will be hoping the former Celt can kick them into gear.

The Argus report, Beram has signed a three-year deal with the promise of a backroom role when he hangs up his boots; the Israeli clearly keen to stay in the game once his onfield career comes to a close.

We wish the midfielder all the best for the future.
