Ilkay Gundogan has stated that he loved playing against Celtic in 2016, stating he ‘loved’ the atmosphere at Celtic Park.

Taking to Twitter, the Manchester City midfielder said;

It was the Champions League group stages when Manchester City travelled north of the border to face Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic.

It was a great game, the atmosphere was electric, and the teams were both up for it.

The result was 3-3, with Pep Guardiola’s side unable to defeat the Scottish Champions. Celtic didn’t fall behind once, which would be of great annoyance that they couldn’t hold out for a win.
