CHELSEA fans are in disbelief their club are set to sell one of their best young talents to Celtic after it emerged the Scottish Champions were deep into negotiations with Charly Musonda.
The Belgian playmaker who spent last season on-loan to Real Betis has caught the eye of the Celtic scouting team and the manager, who we have since learned invited Charly to take in a Celtic game in may.
Brendan Rodgers spoke briefly about a deal being ‘close’ for a player who he believes is a special talent. He didn’t name Charly but it would appear the player is his number one target ahead of the Champions league qualifiers.
Chelsea fans who keep in touch with their clubs youth system know just how much a talent Musonda is and can’t believe the club are prepared to let him go permanently. Celtic and Chelsea seem to have an open dialogue since Brendan Rodgers took over at Celtic. After all the manager did work at Stamford Bridge for a number of years, so he’ll know plenty of people behind the scenes.
While Chelsea fans are upset at the deal, the Celtic fans excitement over this potential deal has reached fever pitch with many just wanting ti see it get over the line.
