CELTIC FANS have been up in arms after the club sent out a letter to all season ticket holders about proper use of their season ticket.

In the letter, it reminds Celtic fans that only the named owner on the season card is permitted to enter the stadium. This has been a policy for a long time but the long tradition of Celtic fans giving their tickets to a friend or family member if they can’t make the game in order that their seat is filled is something we’ve been as a fanbase for years.

While we get the feeling this may just be targeted at the people trying to sneak in with a kids season ticket when they are an adult, the fact that the letter has been sent out to everyone and told fans not to fill their seat in the event they can’t make it is crazy.

We assume very few people will take notice.

  1. This is not the Celtic way, we are one family and therefore as long as the ST is used correctly what’s the problem? We sell out most games so the club is getting the coin which ever way. A lot of other clubs in Britain have ST holders doing the same . the ST is for the seat so fucking grow up Celtic fc your becoming like the fucking huns money grabbers!

  2. That’s why I stopped going to park head my son got knocked back by some prick at the match. I had a pensioners book he offered to pay the difference some security low life nocked back a young man who loved the Celtic .I think Celtic should check out the person who came up with this idea .I remember they stopped the buses running from Bellgrove station and selling programs in the stadium they couldn’t give them away at time up if its not broke don’t try to fix it ps used to go to the match on the trams with some of the Celtic players it was 7p old money at the boys gate and 1and6 adults that’s how long I was following Celtic hail hail Eddie Kelly

  3. Poor form from Celtic, I helped run a csc with over 100 season books at one stage. Id regularly issue the tickets to non STH. Its always been the way

  4. Agree with all comments so far, nothing new going on,but who has been making the club aware that ST’s rules/reg’s are being abused?Something they knew already.

  5. I noticed they were really concerned on CL night especially the fact that some ST holders couldn’t get in for the start of the game because of the ballsup with Celtics ticket system then they found that their seat had been allocated to other folk even though they bought the 3 match package, as for the stewarding don’t get me started, useless bunch of *******

  6. If not for this generous practice by season ticket holders I wouldn’t have been able to visit Paradise on my trek through Scotland when I was a youngster. I’ve been a supporter since the 80’s and I finally got to Glasgow in 2003 and scrounged and begged for a chance to finally see (live) the team I’ve been an avid fan of for decades. Plus I saw Henrick Larson score twice! My kids are super impressed by this by the way. If the seat is sold than no harm no foul.

  7. Surely it’s better to fill the seats, they’ve been bought and payed for, who cares whose backside is on the seat. Also it looks great to see all the seats filled midweek or weekend, people watching the match on TV supporters or not, will be saying, “Every time I watch, the stadium is full, great supporters” Just be happy you are getting all the seats filled. I live in Inverness and on the day Caley got the cup, streets lined with “supporters” on a match day stadium nearly empty. When we are playing Caley, the away stand looks better than the home stands. So be thankful for the support you get, just goes to show, it’s so easy to get some else to fill the seats.?⚽️?

  8. I am a shareholder at this great club,And l must say l am totally discussed with this letter, All Celtic fans should take this letter futher and demand an apology from the club it’s discusting behaviour on their part.?☘️

  9. I am a ST holder and suffer from ill health so miss some games wich i would love to be at but i just give my card to whoever asks if im fit enough to go on the day of match and see no crime in doing so as these people are less fortunate than myself and i think its a gr8 way for them to get to see the team they love but due to inflated pricing at football just cant afford to go so i and every other REAL CELTIC SUPPORTER thinks along this way as its only right that what we have paid for should be used for a good cause so shame on you celtic for trying to stop the poorer supporters of our club getting to see the BHOYS when its paid for by someone alse HH

  10. Have the Kelly and whites returned are they trying to Empty the place again I mind the old stadium couldn’t move ground about full today’s Crowd 38,000 the board lining there pockets wake up anyone paying for a ST helps the attendance figures so what if they give it out its paid for. Same as lifting kids in for 0 that’s how my 50 year old love affair started with Celtic Hail Hail

  11. Surely if you have paid for your ticket surely it is up to you what you do with it. If you want to give it to someone else then it is your business. As long as an adult is not using a concession ticket. This makes a mockery of the ‘a club like no other nonsense’ . Celtic are exactly like every other corporate entity in football . The supporters are a nuisance to the board. The board will not support the fans in anything they are largely responsible for the existence of Sevco as they want the blue pound and the continuation of the repugnant ‘Old Firm’. They really are greedy Tory pigs. Hopefully, we can get rid of them soon.

  12. I’m an OAP and used a younger friends ticket for 4 years while he was working down south, he only managed to get home a couple of times a year. In gratitude for this I gave his grandad £20 every time I used it, which contributed to buying his ST the next year. So when he came home for good I put my name on the waiting list and stood for 9 hours to get my own season ticket, I know that if I’m not going to a game and a friend would like to go I’ll definitely give them the pleasure of using my ST the same as the privelege I had. HH

  13. I have friends who were unable to buy one and decided
    to share the cost.
    What happens now.
Sure others are in the same position.
    Come on Celtic.
