ANDY ROBERTSON said he couldn’t believe it when Forrest wheeled away scoring against Albania screaming it was his first goal for his country.

The Celtic winger bagged a brace for Scotland but Andy was taken aback when he found out that James hadn’t scored for his country before then.

Not long after his first goal, he doubled his tally on the night and for his international career and what a goal it was.

Speaking about the first going in, the Liverpool star was in disbelief.

“He was running away shouting, ‘It’s my first Scotland goal!’”, Robertson told SunSport.

“I couldn’t really believe that. And it was extra special for it to happen for him on his 25th cap.

“Then he followed that up with another goal. He wanted his hat-trick but unfortunately it wasn’t to be.

“But it was a fantastic performance from James.”

Scotland got a big result away to Albania and now take on Israel tonight at Hampden hoping to top their Nation League group.

Forrest and Robertson are likely to start the tie in the hope of capturing the form which won them the game in Albania.

James has been on fire for Celtic the past two season’s and has really upped his intensity this season so far. Scoring four goals in one game, and piling in with assists, the winger has become one of Celtic’s best players.
