ANDY ROBERTSON has another Champions League final to contest at the weekend. The Scottish international has had a sensational career, well beyond his wildest dreams after his humble beginnings.

Released by Celtic as a youngster and playing in the lower tiers of Scottish football, Andy has worked his way to the very top and has already won Europe’s top prize as well as the English Premier League.

The Liverpool star has never hidden his love for Celtic and in the build up to the Champions League final on Saturday – he reiterated a dream he’s never lived out despite having the world at his feet.

Robertson, speaking to BBC Sport, said: “Well look, as a young boy, my dream was to play Champions League football at CelticPark.

“I wanted to be in a green and white jersey, now being at such a massive club like Liverpool then I think I would enjoy it.”

On potentially coming up against Celtic in the Champions League next season; Andy would love to return to Celtic Park with the Anfield club.

“Obviously, I’ve been there as a fan, done ball boy games for Celtic in the Champions League. The atmosphere is incredible, very similar to Anfield.

“I’d love the rest of the boys in there (the Liverpool dressing room) to experience it as well.

“Obviously, that’s not until next season but if we did get them then it would be an occasion I would look forward to.”

Celtic have already qualified for the Champions League after winning the league this season. The bhoys are preparing to take their place at Europe’s top table and the atmosphere is going to be incredible.
