With interest from top clubs in the summer, there will likely be continued links in January. Andy Walker has claimed that Celtic will be looking for £8 million for the player, and anything more will be a bonus. He claimed:[The Go Radio Football Show]
“You look at Kieran Tierney he’s been the best of all going for £25m.
“How much is he worth now?
“John McGinn went for, what, £3m? What would it take to get John McGinn away from Villa? Probably about £50m.
“But there’s no rhyme or reason to the valuation of players but certainly as soon as you step into the English Premier League your value goes through the roof.
“So for Celtic to get, what, upwards of eight, nine, ten million pounds, I think they’d be willing to do business.
“Anything above that would just be fabulous.
“And of course, they’ve got Antony Ralston who, I think, is playing well when he’s given the opportunity and you’ve got the new arrival, Alistair Johnston.
“So I think Celtic are well served in that position.”
Juranovic is in his prime years as a footballer and has three and a half years left on his Celtic contact. Selling him for less than £15 million doesn’t seem likely, with the club braced for a bid worth over £10 million.
