Ange Postecoglou has been speaking to Greek TV about life at Celtic.

It was a very Greek orientated line of questioning and inevitably Vasilis Barkas came up.

Asked about the goalkeeper and his lack of game time at Celtic, the manager told Nova Sports.

“He is a hard worker. He tried to settle up, it was difficult with Covid situation. But he is a hard worker. We will see what will happen at Celtic or elsewhere”

Ange Postecoglou on Barkas.

Ange looked ready to go with Barkas at the start of the season but after just one game and one huge error in a Champions League qualifier the goalkeeper was taken out of the starting XI.

The Greek stopper had to fill in during Celtic’s final game before the winter break due to a covid outbreak. Joe Hart and Scott Bain we’re both unavailable, Barkas helped Celtic to a comfortable victory.

Ange is being diplomatic here but the final part of his quote says it all. He will expect the goalkeeper will be moved on either this month or in the summer.

Things just haven’t worked out for Barkas in Glasgow.
