Celtic are in good health going into the UEFA Conference league on Thursday evening.

Speaking to RecordSport today, Ange Postecoglou confirmed the state of play with his squad.

Postecoglou said: “From last weekend, Mikey Johnston picked up an ankle sprain, nothing too

serious but it will keep him out for a little while.

“Everyone else came through okay, Josip Juranovic is available, he’s back training after missing the last couple of games.

“That’s it. Yosuke Ideguchi is not registered (for Europe) so he won’t be available but everyone else is okay.”

Juranovic back is a massive boost for the Hoops after missing the prior two games due to illness. Celtic makes it two wins out of two in Josip’s absence but there’s no doubt he makes the team stronger.

Mikey picking up yet another injury after coming back from a multitude of lay offs is not good news for the winger and his long term chances at Celtic. Mikey can’t stay fit enough to find form and make an impression.

Celtic could only register three new players for the Conference league providing they removed three from their Europa League squad list. Hatate, Maeda and O’Riley got the slots at the expense of Liam Shaw, Osaze Urhoghide and Ismaila Soro. There was no room for Ideguchi and Ange has made the correct call.

Celtic will be hoping to get a victory under their belt at Celtic Park to take to Norway in a weeks time.
