ANGE POSTECOGLOU has confirmed to CeltsAreHere.com that he and the club are looking to send Mikey Johnston out on loan.
There has been speculation over the last week about the winger’s immediate future and the Australian has now confirmed Mikey will likely be sent out before the end of the window.
“We’re working with Mikey on that [A loan deal].
“There’s definitely a talented footballer there, but sometimes you just need a different environment to help that happen.”
Mikey has been unlucky with injuries since making his way through to the first team. He gets another setback when it looks like he’s about to turn a corner.
His time will be limited with the players currently in front of him this season. If the winger can go out and play a full season, stays fit and show what he can do, then there’s certainly scope for a Celtic revival.
It’s make or break time for Mikey. He and the club have to make sure the team he does go out on loan to is the correct option for him.
If he plays in a team where it’s difficult for him to influence the game, he could come up short. Hopefully, the club will find the best resolution.
