Ange Postecoglou was in decent spirits after Sunday’s game against Aberdeen. The hoops earned three points thanks to goals from Kyogo and Jota.

The game ended 2-1 and as Celtic players start returning, we’re hoping the bhoys can go on a run.

The international break stops any kind of momentum right now but it does again give Celtic a chance to pause, draw breath and potentially get some more players up to speed.

We know Jullien is on his way back and should join team training in mid-October, James Forrest is a bit of a mystery at the moment.

Kyogo has played the last two games for the club after missing a month of football due to an international injury. Given the extent of injuries Celtic and the manager have had to deal with this season – the manager saw the light side of things speaking to Sky Sports when he joked he told the players not to bother coming back if they get injured with their countries.

Ange said: “The last break wasn’t really kind to me,” Ange stated.  “I’ve said to the players, if you get injured on international duty, don’t bother coming back. The disruption we’ve gone through with injuries has made it really difficult for us. It’s crucial we get through the break without any other injuries.”

Fingers crossed we’ve seen the back of some bad luck from our perspective.

We need to hit the ground running in two weeks time against Motherwell. It’s going to be tough to play catch up but it’s not beyond Celtic at the moment.
