LIEL ABADA was the cinch man of the match on Sunday as Celtic eased back to the top of the table with a 9-0 win over Dundee United.

The winger was influential in Celtic’s win; he was heavily involved in a few of the goals and managed to bag his first Celtic hat trick and register an assist.

His numbers were impressive last season, but if he keeps this up, it could be another great season for the young player.

He’s not struggling to get game time because Ange does rate him, the manager was full of praise for him after the match, but he can’t get in the team because there’s no room for him.

However, after today’s display, will he be forcing the manager to start him for Wednesday’s cup clash and hope for another impressive performance ahead of the derby?

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Celtic manager said after the game;

“He was really good. Liel is a fantastic young player. Everything we’ve asked of him in the last 12-14 months, he’s taken every challenge. There’s more growth in him, he’s only a young man. He really wants to learn and get better.

“It was a good game for him today to come in because we knew he would get plenty of the ball and do what he does. It was good for him to get his goals.”

Ange is sport on, Abada is still a young man, if he keeps developing under the manager he’ll be a top player one day. It’s great to hear that he wants to learn and be better, he’s already showing the ability he has.
