Ange Postecoglou was full of praise for a number of his Celtic players after this afternoon’s 1-0 win over Rangers.

The Bhoys remained stout at the back throughout as Jota’s header in attack made the difference and sent the Bhoys into the Scottish Cup final.

Following the more than deserved Hoops win, Postecoglou heaped praise on the likes of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt (Clyde 1):

“I thought we defended really well.

“There was a lot of balls coming into the box and the centre halves were outstanding.”

As well as this, Postecoglou also gave optimum applause to his Japanese forward Daizen Maeda:

“Daizen Maeda was incredible, particularly in the first half”

Up top, the Japanese’s pressing and defensive contributions were first class.

He constantly tracked back and showed electric pace going forward.

Moreover, Carter-Vickers and Starfelt showed utter solidity in the backline as all three played their part in a memorable afternoon for everyone involved with Celtic football club.
