ANGE POSTECOGLOU dodged a question posed to him about it being unlikely that Celtic will throw their lead away.

The Hoops are nine points clear and 25 goals ahead of second place; with 13 games to go, Celtic fans are already singing about winning the league.

Postecoglou isn’t being drawn into the talk of winning the league, and has said he’s taking it slower than a game at a time, vowing to take it day by day and constantly seek improvement before the end of the season.

Speaking to BBC Sportsound after the match, the Celtic manager said:

“You’ve gone a really roundabout way for trying to get me to say! No, I’m not interested in that and I’m not thinking about that.

“Because, for us, what’s worked really well, what’s been really important, we don’t look too far ahead, and it’s not a week at a time; we look at it a day at a time.

“We want to keep improving, keep getting stronger. I think we have, and we are. Every performance, I think we’re just getting a little stronger and we’ve got a really strong squad.

“We’ve got guys that didn’t play today, and some that weren’t in the squad, that are going to be massive contributors for us.

“We’re not going to put a ceiling on what we can achieve this year.”

It’s likely that the league will once again be returning to Parkhead, but it’s not over until it’s over.

Celtic have to play The Rangers two more times this season, one home and one away. The gap has the potential to shrink; it could also go into double figures with a greater goal difference. u
