Celtic take on Hearts today at Paradise and the Bhoys are also seeking revenge today as they registered this seasons first SPFL defeat only a fortnight ago to the Edinburgh side.

Ryan Christe was a big notable absentee from today’s matchday squad but the Celtic manager has just confirmed on Celtic TV that this is down to a training injury.

“He got a bit of a knock the other night and just pulled up sore. We’re in the middle of a pretty tough schedule and these things will happen. So it was best for us to leave him out today.”

Liel Abada also pulled up in training during the week and he is still missing from the squad. The Celtic manager will be hoping to have both players back ASAP with so many big games looming.

Both players have been instrumental in Celtic’s recent good form. With two Europa League qualifiers and a Glasgow derby looming, Ange will want every weapon possible at his disposal.

Celtic still need to add to their squad before the end of the window. Right now, the team is heading in the right direction but the club must build on this momentum.

Ange Postecoglou needs to be backed.

  1. I think we should give Christie a new contract with a rise in wages. He’s been arguably our best player so far.
I love watching him in the hoops. He always gives everything for his team. And he’s perfect for the style of play Ange wants to play. HH.
