ANGE POSTECOGLOU has reacted to Celtic getting three of his top targets through the door before the window officially opens.
The rumour mill had been going wild for weeks but nobody could have seen three signings coming in at once.
That’s exactly what’s happened and the Hoops support is delighted.
Yosuke Ideguchi, Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda are all Ange Postecoglou signings and the club have backed the manager big time here.
Speaking to CelticFC.com, Ange said: “We are really pleased to bring in these guys to Celtic and I think they are players who will excite our fans.
“Clearly I am well aware of their attributes and I think in bringing all three to the club we are bringing even more quality, personality and energy to the squad to work with the players who have done so well for us already this season.
“They are all really at the peak of their careers, ambitious to achieve more success and I am sure at this particular time we will be getting their best years. I am delighted to have secured these players so early in the transfer window, I look forward to working with them and myself, my backroom team and the rest of the squad will be making sure we help them settle into Celtic as quickly as possible.”
Celtic have now got a little over two weeks to help these players bed in and they could play a part almost straight away.
The J-League ended in December so the players coming in will still have a decent level of fitness. Ange will be excited to get to work with him and it will also be great for Kyogo to have some Japanese players to chat with as he learns English.
It’s a massive statement by Ange and the club.
