ANGE POSTECOGLOU has hinted he’s happy for some of the fringes players to stick around this season with a hectic 60 game schedule ahead.

The Australian appears very relaxed about any outgoings from his squad and has made the claim he’ll treat every single player like they’re going to be staying for the season.

Fringe players like Chris Jullien, Albian Ajeti, Scott Bain to name a few could head out before the end of the window, but if they don’t the Celtic manager is happy to keep them in reserve.

As cited by the National, the Celtic gaffer said: “It’s a big squad, and we’re going to need a big squad. We’ll probably play 60 games this year, and with the World Cup break it’s going to be a pretty congested schedule either side of it.

“So, we’re going to need a strong squad, but in terms of players departing it’s no different to last year. I’m pretty comfortable with it, that will all take care of itself. The ones who see their futures elsewhere or are looking for opportunities elsewhere, if that comes along it comes along.

Celtic are currently in Austria and many of the fringe bhoys got a run out against Wiener Viktoria on Wednesday night.

The hoops ran out 7-0 winners in the end with goals from Johnny Kenny, Rocco Vata, Chris Jullien, James Forrest, Mikey Johnston and Reo Hatate.

Celtic will fight on four fronts from July onwards; the SPFL, League Cup, Champions League and the Scottish Cup. The squad is in a good place ahead of the new season. The Bhoys will be hoping to add a couple more new faces before the window closes.
