Ange Postecoglou faced the media after defeat in the Glasgow Derby and faced up to his own decision that he believes he got wrong.

We wrote before the game today that the manager had a big decision to make with regards to Kyogo Furuhashi. Would Ange put him through the middle or sacrifice the Japanese star’s attacking threat by pushing him out to the left.

In the end, the manager decided to put the player out on the left and the gamble didn’t pay off. We actually had good chances once Edouard had left the pitch and Kyogo was finally put in that position. Edouard did have an easy chance to finish in the first half and had he taken it – the gamble would have been successful.

In the end, the manager faced up to the decision but did admit his hand was somewhat forced because he didn’t have a natural left winger or even James Forrest to put on the left.

Celtic have a international break to regroup and Ange will certainly be rallying the bhoys for the return.

  1. Sign Lovric, who is a proper LW and a goal scorer, anyou will not have this worry. I thought Christie was very poor today with his decisions and control.

  2. Ryan Christie needs to get back to doing the simple, effective things well. He’s becoming one of those players who is either terrific,or rank rotten…i’d say the same applies to Rogic too.
If both play together and both are off it,that’s a massive hole in the team. Two extremely talented players who,in my opinion, just don’t produce half of what their combined talents should.
