It has been revealed this morning that Celtic officials as well as Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou will be heading down under this week to promote the Sydney Super Cup.

The tournament which will take place in November has been hailed as Ange Postecoglou’s homecoming with his Celtic side set to take on Sydney FC and English Premier League side Everton.

There will likely be a few of the Hoops first team regulars missing from the team due to the World Cup but it is expected that Celtic will take over a fairly strong side to compete in the tournament.

The official page for the Accor Stadium where Celtic will take on Everton in what is being promoted as the glamour tie revealed on social media that Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou will be “out and about in Sydney this week.”

It is likely that with a good few players away on international duty, some of the group will be given a bit of time off.

Even if Postecoglou is not back for a few days the group will be left in the capable hands of John Kennedy and the rest of the Celtic backroom team.

Before Celtic compete in the Sydney Super Cup there is a huge chunk of fixtures to get through before the World Cup.
