Former Scotland international and Sky Sports pundit Andy Walker believes it is only a matter of time before Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is pursued by an English Premier League club but he has a particular club in mind.

Walker believes the Liverpool job would be a perfect fit for Postecoglou if it ever became available, citing the Australian‘s success with Celtic as evidence that he is more than capable of turning a club around.

The outstanding work by Ange Postecoglou at Celtic has been noticed far and wide and has recently earned him recognition from exCeltic boss John Barnes. Barnes has gone on to suggest that the manager should target the West Ham United job if David Moyes is dismissed. But according to Walker, Postecoglou is unlikely to leave the Hoops anytime soon.

Speaking on GO RADIO, the Walker said: “I think his dream job, if Ange Postecoglou was to go, I think he is a big Liverpool man but would he get the opportunity to go to Liverpool?

“Having said that I think he is absolutely committed at the moment to his life in Glasgow.”

There’s too much snobbery in the EPL for a top four side to go and get a manager that’s working in Scottish football
