ANGE POSTECOGLOU has confirmed this afternoon that there will be no incoming on deadline day signings for Celtic. The Australian did confirm there are likely to be outgoings.

Celtic have brought four players in during the transfer window and Ange is happy with the business the club has done.

We’re still waiting to see where Giakoumakis will end up, with Atlanta being his most likely destination.

Speaking to Celtic TV ahead of the Livingston game on Wednesday: “In terms of outgoings, there are still some things happening in the background, but nothing confirmed yet.”

Deadline days can be hectic for clubs. Celtic has been front and centre many times heading into the final 24 hours of the market. Luckily, we’re more prepared these days.

Ange made it clear they strengthened the positions he thought needed to be strengthened and got ahead of the game, knowing there were likely going to be some outgoings.

Johnston, Kobayashi, Iwata and Hyeongyu have all come in the door. By the end of play today, Giakoumakis should be gone, and Celtic should be in a solid position to go and win the league title.

The bhoys are currently nine points clear of their Glasgow rivals and show no signs of relenting in their chase for two in a row.
