ANGE POSTECOGLOU has denied rumours that Carter-Vickers will be out for up to four months and that he will be back for the start of next season.
The American defender had been playing through the pain barrier, but he was needing surgery. He’s since gone under the knife, but his season is finished as a result of his injury.
It’s expected that January signing Yuki Kobayashi will step up to the starting squad.
Ange Postecoglou responded to rumours suggesting that he’d miss the start of next season, denying them, saying: [Live on Sky Sports]
“He’s had the surgery and he’s on his way back. It went really well. He’ll be alright for the start of next season.”
Furthermore, Ange Postecoglou made a comment about CCV being ready for pre-season, which starts in July.
“It’s good for him because now he knows he can get himself ready for pre-season and get ready to go next year”
The defender has been tremendous for the Hoops this season, forever standing up to his opponents, dominating in the air and putting his body on the line when necessary.
Playing through the pain is a testament to the player’s character and attitude, with fans also loving a player who will risk himself for the benefit of the club.
