Celtic take on St Johnstone on Boxing Day in the SPFL knowing they have no room for error.

The bhoys slip up against St Mirren means they can’t afford to drop any more points before the winter break.

Celtic have struggled to keep their players fit and have a majorly depleted squad for the visit to McDermid park.

Ange Postecoglou has warned this game will be tight and the Hoops can take nothing for granted.

“If anything, it has shown over the last few weeks that all the games are tight,” the Celtic gaffer told CelticTV.

“There is no games you go into thinking they are going to be less of challenge and St Johnstone will be a challenge for us.

“All teams are struggling at the moment just with getting bodies out on the park, we are no different.

“We have to make sure we continue the consistency in the performances we have shown.

“Even on Wednesday night the performance was good, we have to make sure we find a way to put the ball in the net.”

Celtic had all the possession, a ridiculous number of shots but couldn’t put the ball away against St Mirren.

We have to be clinical and make sure teams think twice about going hard with a low block against us.

Celtic will have Hibs at home in the first game back after the winter break. We need to make sure we have new players in and fitness levels are back to a good level.

Six points isn’t insurmountable, the transfer window is the key.
