ANGE POSTECOGLOU has told the media tonight despite Celtic’s valiant effort against Leverkusen, they’re just not at that level yet.

We would agree.

Celtic were undone by two brilliant goals, but before that, they were hanging on by a thread thanks to Joe Hart and some incredible saves.

The roof finally came in with less than ten to play and Leverkusen had us.

The quality they showed in the final ten minutes set them apart and the massive turning point for Celtic was the subs.

When Ange talks about the team not being at that level yet, he has to be alluding to the fact the drop off in quality between our first XI and our subs is painful.

The front three Ange brought on to replace Jota, Forrest and Kyogo did absolutely nothing and didn’t look comfortable at all.

Johnstone, Abada and Ajeti didn’t do well and McCarthy coming in for the injured Bitton looked off the pace again.

We need depth, we need a collective, running on just a starting XI with the number of games we have, at the intensity Ange wants to play at will only end badly.

Over to you Michael Nicholson.
