ANGE POSTECOGLOU has declared Celtic winger Jota is in a great place heading into the final third of the season.

The Portuguese winger has been incredibly consistent throughout the season, and despite suffering injury and illness, he’s been a major driving force for the side.

Speaking to CeltsAreHere on Friday afternoon, the Celtic manager said: “People forget that Jota had an unbelievable start to the season.

“He was incredible in the first few months and then he picked up an injury, and also had a bit of illness. But I agree, he has been outstanding for us in the last couple of weeks. He has looked really bright with the ball, he is working hard and physically, and he is in great shape.

“Mentally he is in a great space and that is great for us. It all means he can finish the season really strong. If he is at his best, he isn’t just a fantastic player for us, but he is one who all our supporters love to watch. It’s exciting every time he gets the ball.

“I don’t think there would ever be a point where Jota doesn’t love what he is doing. But like every footballer, you want to feel in a good condition to give the best of yourself.

“If you aren’t, you can get frustrated as you want to do things, you aren’t able to. But he’s in a great space now and that’s great for us.”

Jota has been instrumental in Celtics success this season and his attacking play has been a major factor in the Bhoys impressive form. He has been a constant threat going forward.

The winger has the ability to beat defenders and is always looking to create goal-scoring opportunities for his teammates. It’s exciting to know his best form this season might still be yet to come.

Celtic are nine points clear in the title race at present. We have some tough games ahead and need everyone to be firing. The team, as a collective, is in a good place. The bhoys have only suffered defeat once in the league this season and will want to try and keep this winning run going for as long as possible.
