Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou hasn’t exactly had the greatest of luck when it comes to injury issues during the start of his tenure as Hoops manager.
However, his squad now appears to slowly but surely be returning and gaining more strength as he provided fans with a fitness update.
Speaking to the media ahead of Saturday’s trip to Motherwell, he confirmed that winger Mikey Johnston is back for this weekend’s fixture, whilst James Forrest and long-term absentee Christopher Jullien returned to training.
Josip Juranovic looks to be edging close to action after his injury within the next few games. However, Saturday will come too soon for the Croatian.
Ange also joked that he ‘lit a few candles’ whilst his players featured for their nations in the past couple of weeks but thankfully confirmed that they all returned back to Scotland injury-free.

The next few months will be a hectic time for Postecoglou and his squad as we approach the winter months.
Each game will be key in helping to define our season. So, fingers crossed, we have seen the back of most of the injury problems we have faced and can now build from a position of strength with a win on Saturday.
