CELTIC manager Ange Postecoglou has revealed that he has received congratulatory text messages from the majority of Scottish Premiership managers following their successful SPFL title win.

Postecoglou, who has over 25 years of managerial experience, has expressed that there are other ways of showing respect than organising a guard of honour, after it emerged that there would be no such thing when Celticf travels to Ibrox on Saturday.

The boss doesn’t believe in ‘symbolic gestures’, saying respect can be shown in a variety of different ways.

The Celtic manager said: [Glasgow Times]

“It’s just symbolic. Real respect comes from different ways. I’ve had text messages from just about every Premiership manager congratulating us on our season and we are fierce competitors every week. That’s how you show respect. You know it’s there and you don’t need any grand gestures.”

Ange Postecoglou is well respected on the Scottish league, with many managers commenting their praise on not only his style of play, but also the person that he is.

Commonly, the Celtic boss spares a few moments to meet with the managers and have a chat with them.

I think we can hazard a guess as to who hasn’t reached out after Celtic wrapped up the title last weekend.
