With 32 matches played, Celtic have netted 102 goals, with the majority of goals coming away from home, despite playing more games at Parkhead.

With six games left of the season, Celtic are looking to break the record for the most goals scored in a season, the Hoops are on course to break the record set for the most goals scored in a 38-game league season.

Currently, the invincible Celts, under the leadership of Brendan Rodgers, hold that title, with 106 goals. Celtic need to score just five goals in six games to break the record, while they average over three goals per game.

It’s a prospect that Ange Postecoglou is excited about, expressing he loves it when his side score goals. Speaking ahead of the Motherwell match, the manager said: [Celtic TV]

“as much much as we get defined by success, by winning games of football and trophies, the most pleasing thing for me is the number of goals we’ve scored because i still think that’s the best part of football for me.

“It goes beyoing winning. Sometimes you can win and not enjoy a game of football, but who doesn’t enjoy scoring a goal? even the most scrambling and ugliest of goals still get celebrated.

“I lpve the fact that if there is one record ill be most proud of od that we’ve scored more goals than there’s ever been scored before.

“I know how much joy that’s brought everyone, players, supporters.”
