The Australian tactician, who led Celtic to a memorable Scottish Premiership treble this season, now faces a fresh challenge in the English Premier League.

As he embarks on a new chapter with Tottenham, Postecoglou expressed his excitement and determination to make an impact in North London.

In his first media apperance, he acknowledged the task ahead. Postecoglou spoke of his ambition to deliver success to the club and create a team that fans can be proud of.

He said: [Spurs]

“It’s great to finally get started as manager of this great football club. I’m really looking forward to our task ahead.

“I think it’s an exciting opportunity for us to set off in a new direction, play football and create an environment that embodies the values and traditions of this fantastic football club.

“Hopefully, a team that you can all be proud of and more importantly, get excited by. I can assure you that right through pre-season, we won’t leave any stone unturned, myself, the staff and the players to make sure that when the league comes around that you’ll all be as excited as i am about the season ahead.

“I really look forward to seeing everyone at the stadium, in particular at our first home game, and look forward to the journey ahead.”

For Celtic supporters, Postecoglou’s departure brings mixed emotions. On one hand, there is gratitude for the remarkable success over the two seasons that he orchestrated and the memorable moments he provided.

His passion and commitment to the club endeared him to fans, and his departure leaves a void that will not be easily filled. However, there is also an understanding that opportunities at top Premier League clubs are rare, and Postecoglou’s decision to join Tottenham reflects his ambition to test himself at the highest level.
