Fresh reports on Sunday evening have revealed Ange Postecoglou’s agents and Tottenham are set for a fresh round of talks ahead of completing a deal for the current Celtic manager.

24 hours on from clinching a treble, it looks the Ange Postecoglou will drop the mic and move on from the Hoops two years after he picked up the pieces.

Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein have both come out in the last few hours to say the deal is progressing and the Hoops will lose their boss to Spurs shortly.

Ange has been non-committal on his Celtic future for weeks and after the cup final, he again refused to commit to where he’d be next season.

Tottenham provide an opportunity that Ange thought might not have been possible just a year ago. The opportunity to implement his style of football on a higher level with a huge budget is too tempting an offer to pass up.

Celtic fans will be gutted to see the Australian go and after securing a treble, the uncertainty around next season will be a cause for concern.

The club will have to act swiftly if Ange does move on. We can’t just go for any manager, we need someone who will compliment this group of players.

  1. You would hope that Celtic are a fair bit along in naming a replacement. It has been clear for a couple of weeks he is gone. A bit crap his only focused on the game nonsense. Up until now he has been open and honest. Why mate a statement at 1 in the morning that was just more ‘string them along’ bull. Could have said after the game, my representatives are in talks with Spurs but he was still saying we will enjoy this for a couple of days and then think of the future. A day must be 20 minutes long in Aus as we are now being told the deal is as good as done. Does this not indicate he has been talking to them for a few days or have they asked him and he has said ‘oh please’ straight away. Not much persuasion needed to ‘prise’ him away from Celtic

  2. Sorry for you Bhoys if we take him. Not a first choice among Spurs supporters. Can we swap chairmen instead?

  3. Thanks for your great service Ange hope it works out for you at spurs but I doubt it but will get you a good pay day .

    • We don’t him. By we, I mean the fans, not dopey Levy. I don’t expect him to succeed either. Never managed in a major league.
