After the Celtic vs Raith Rovers game, Ange made a statement that resonated with the Celtic support despite winning the game comfortably.

After managing to fight back from a six-point deficit to find themselves top of the league, many Celtic fans have lauded this team and rightly so.

Ange was asked by a Premier Sports interviewer if his team were where he wants it to be.

His response: “They’re nowhere near my expectations,”  [Football Scotland]

A lot of Celtic fans, including myself, reacted very positively to the comment. If this wasn’t us anywhere near what we can be, we can only imagine how good it’s going to get.

Fast forward to Thursday night and Ange’s comment has a more sobering feel to it.

We were brought back down to earth with a bang by Bodo/Glimt who out Angeballed, Angeball.

The Celtic manager has never got carried away, he knows the work that still needs to be done. Supporters are allowed to get carried away, especially after our strong start to 2022, but it does give us food for thought.

We aren’t the finished article, and if we’re to continue to challenge for trophies this term, we have to fight for every inch we get. There’s no room for any sort of complacency and we must improve.

  1. We are a new team and we still need other players that the manager wants to bring in and there are still 4 to 6 dead wood players needing moved on,when we get all that done then we can be judged but only then,we are heading the right way we bagged a cup and are still in the running both raining trophies plenty to look forward to,next week away to Bodo/Glimt play all those who take a wage for doing nothing and give last chance to them if not taken then get rid of them for what ever money you can get..
