The Celtic squad were in Australia for the Sydney Cup, playing Sydney FC and Everton in the first week of the World Cup break. The players then flew off to their different holiday locations, enjoying some well-deserved time off after the hectic start to the season.

Postecoglou remained in his homeland, catching up with friends and family, unable to do so in recent years. He went straight from Japan to Scotland as travel routes started to open up again.

The work for the January window is already completed, with Celtic identifying their signings, finalising a move for Kobayashi, and Alistair Johnston close to completing his move to Glasgow.

The focus will return to the current group when preparations for the remainder of the season begin. The Bhoys will jet off to Portugal to train in some warmer weather, looking to continue their greats run of form that’s seen them go nine points clear at the top of the SPFL.
