Ange Postecoglou met Celtic legend Frank McGarvey before the game against Hibernian yesterday before Frank took to the pitch to address the Celtic support.
The former Hoops Hero has revealed he’s battling cancer and the club wanted to give him the time before the game to talk to the Celtic fans in attendance. Frank thanked them all for their support and for the manager’s kind words. The Celtic legend was surprised when Ange revealed he had watched Frank growing up.
Speaking about his meeting with the Celtic legend, Ange had brilliant words.
Ange continues to be a fantastic and eloquent ambassador for our football club. You would think he had grown up a Celtic fan by the way he speaks about Celtic and what we stand for.
We’ve said it many times in the past; Ange and Celtic are a match made in heaven.
It was great to see Frank yesterday and it was an emotional moment for Frank who was visibly moved as he walked off the pitch. We wish him all the best in his fight against cancer. You’ve got this Frank.
