There has been a number of different players linked with moves away from the Scottish champions with the two most prominent names being Josip Juranovic and Giorgos Giakoumakis but the boss won’t be one for entertaining rumours.

Juranovic will have a week off after returning from the World Cup but speculation about his future is only likely to grow as Barcelona have become the latest club to be linked to the 27-year-old.

When asked in the presser today about Stephen Welsh’s future, the manager gave a hilarious response to the question.

“What I can tell you right now, we don’t have an offer for any player, ” said Ange Postecoglou in his pre-match press conference [Celtic FC].

“People can take about offers and clubs wanting but, I can’t spend my time chasing shadows of what’s in the press every morning because I’d be spending all day talking to players.

“What I see is before me everyday here at training, if players have things put in front of them about their future, I’m sure they’ll come and see me and Michael will speak to their representatives.

“Right now there’s nothing. zero. zip. nada. nothing going on.”

Ange certainly doesn’t miss whenever he is asked a question he doesn’t like and this can go down as another classic response with his response being razor sharp.

He will likely have been glad of the break as speculation and questions around transfers would have only just been as bad in recent weeks, but until the window closes he is expected to be continually asked about incomings and outgoings at the club while his focus is only realistically on the next match.
