VISEL KOBE defeated league leaders Yokohama F. Marinos on Thursday, causing quite an upset.

The three points lifted Kyogo’s former side out of the relegation zone but have played a game more than the bottom two teams, who are just two points behind the side. Meanwhile, Yokohama maintains their position at the top of the table, with a game in hand and a five-point advantage.

Kyogo took to Twitter to celebrate the victory over Ange Postecoglou’s former side.

The J-League has been an interesting watch this season and has set up for a dramatic end. It’s tight at the bottom, and Yokohama dropping points has narrowed the gap at the top.

Ange and Kyogo might have a bit of banter about it on the training ground. We predict extra laps from the striker! Ange’s protégé Kevin Muscat is the current Yokohama boss and he’ll want to see his old club doing well. Kyogo will be desperate to see Vissel come through this tough spell.

Celtic To Land More J-League Signings?

Surprisingly, this window, Celtic haven’t been linked to any J-League players. Considering over the past two windows, Ange brought four players from the league to the club; it’s a wonder we haven’t had any links.

If Ange is looking to exploit the J-League market in the future, he’ll likely use the January windows. With the J-League finished, it’s more likely for players to transfer to different continents.
