ANGE POSTECOGLOU named a team that saw Kyogo drop to the bench and Oh get his first Celtic start.

The Korean striker wasn’t able to get on the scoresheet but, again, showed some promising signs. He looks like he will be an excellent addition to the Celtic side, but settling in will take a little while.

Kyogo replaced the striker, who received a lap of honour from Celtic fans as he made his way to the dugout and made an instant impact. He was sharp and kept the defenders on their toes as they struggled to deal with the threat of the Japanese forward.

Ange Postecoglou said after the match that Kyogo was getting angry that he wasn’t on the pitch, with John Kennedy insisting that he should get some minutes. Speaking post-match, the Celtic manager said:

“He would have been fine but John Kennedy kept telling me ‘look, he is getting really angry, you better put him on’,” said Postecoglou.

“So I didn’t have much choice. I thought he was going to sneak on at one point. I just thought before the game it was a good chance to get Oh some minutes. Kyogo has been outstanding in recent times, and it was going to be hard for us to find a game for Oh with the fact we are only playing a game a week at the moment. I didn’t want to go too long without giving Oh a start, and I thought today was a good opportunity to do that. But Kyogo is fine. He is raring to go and looking forward to next week.”

Kyogo wants to play football and score goals, and he’s a player that the fans dream of having at their club.

He’ll be looking forward to next weekend, with another Cup Final to take part in.
