ALEX MCLEISH has had ANOTHER Scotland Call off before this weekend’s tie against Albania bringing the total to eleven for this International break.

John McGinn has become the latest man to pull out with the midfielder a sure starter in both games. The former Hibernian man has pulled out with an injury and joins the rest of the call offs in a depleted Scotland squad.

Leigh Griffiths refused a call up last month also because he believed staying at Celtic was more important than Scotland duty under McLeish.

A lot of these call offs will be for good reason but there will be some who in the past would have perhaps played through the pain or went above and beyond for the man in charge for the ‘privilege’ of playing for their country.

There doesn’t seem to be any enthusiasm in the Scottish players to play for McLeigh and his backroom team of Grant and McFadden.

The former Ibrox boss who admitted on broadcast TV that his club cheated in order to keep up with Celtic back in the 00s was given the job by the old boys club instead of any forward thinking.

In hindsight, Strachan’s later tenure seems like a rose garden compared to this.

Is it time for a change already?
