Unless you keep a keen eye on the developmental sides of things at Celtic, then you might not be aware of Mikey Sparkes.
The 18-year-old has been at Celtic since he was 12 but on Saturday be announced he would be leaving the club this summer.
Right now, we’re unsure if the player chose to leave because his contract was up or he was released by Celtic.
The striker has represented Scotland and Wales at under 17 level but is yet to make his professional debut in the game.
Taking to social media, the youngster said a heartfelt goodbye as he gets ready for his next adventure.
After 6 years of playing for my boyhood club it’s now time to move on. For the most part i’ve enjoyed the experience and had some great memories but looking forward to what’s in store next!

Celtic have been releasing players already this summer. Two first team bhoys, Jonny Hayes and Jozo Simunovic have left the club with Craig Gordon likely time be added to that list with no sign of a new deal being made with the goalkeeper.
We wish Mikey all the best with his next move within the game.
