Celtic midfielder Kwon has completed a season-long loan move to Hibernian, as confirmed by Hibs.
It comes just a day after fellow holding midfielder Bosun Lawal left Celtic to head to the English Championship.
The South Korean struggled to secure a regular spot in Brendan Rodgers’ plans and will now aim to continue his development under Hibs manager David Gray. Despite showing potential during a successful loan spell at St Mirren in the previous season, Kwon faced stiff competition at Celtic, particularly with Callum McGregor and Tomoki Iwata ahead of him.
This move offers Kwon an excellent opportunity to gain consistent first-team experience in the Scottish Premiership. However, he will not be eligible to play in the upcoming Premier Sports Cup match against his parent club Celtic at Parkhead this weekend, adhering to loan agreement stipulations. The loan is seen as mutually beneficial, providing Hibs with a valuable midfield addition while allowing Kwon to further his development with regular game time.
